MIT and Microsoft have created a temporary ‘smart’ tattoo to control your devices
MIT researchers are at it again. They have just introduced DuoSkin, a wearable tattoo which will allow you to control your devices using your epidermis. Don’t worry, the tattoo is temporary. It has other functions than just acting as touchpad for your device, it also allows you to share data via NFC.
The tattoo is a joint venture between MIT and Microsoft, and as any tech company, Microsoft is well aware that design is central to consumer interest. The tattoo features a golden leaf color, sometimes made of LEDs, which acts as electrical conductor. The researchers also explained how any graphic software can be used to design a circuit to the users design preferences.
Duoskin is going to be presented in a paper which will be released at the International Symposium on Wearable Computers next month.
