The Android operating system is often familiar in many markets for providing premium devices at a not so premium price. But there’s just too many options nowadays, so picking the best device that fits your need and your budget can be quite difficult. So we have rounded-up a list of top five mid-range devices currently on the market.

5. Google Nexus 5X

Nexus 5X Android

Yes, this is about to be a ‘previous generation’ phone soon since Google is expected to drop the new Nexus devices anytime soon. But that doesn’t stop it from being a great device. It will still receive two major upgrades from Google, and two full years of security updates. It also has a great camera and a great processor that can excel in general everyday use. And the best of all, you can snag one for as low as $249 if you look around for a good deal.

4. Huawei Honor 5X

It might be surprising, but Huawei is the third-largest manufacturer of smartphones worldwide. And it does some pretty impressive line-up of devices. The Honor 5X is no exception. You can get one for $199, and it comes packed with a powerful Snapdragon 616 processor and 2GB of RAM. It also has a decent 13MP and 5MP cameras that can get the job done, and a shocking fast fingerprint reader. However, it is also worth noting that it comes with Android 5.1, which is not the latest version of Android. Huawei’s Emotion UI can be pretty heavy on the resources too, and you should probably not expect any further Android Version upgrades.

3. Moto G 4th Gen

Motorola is back at it again with the new G4. It comes equipped with a Snapdragon 617 processor and a 2GB RAM with an all day battery life and fast charging. Motorola has also advertised it as water-repelled. Another great feature is SD card support. With all these features and a near to stock software experience, Moto G4 is definitely one of the best budget phones out there. The device is priced starting from $199. Although Motorola has been pretty consistent with providing fast updates for its phones in the past, we have yet to see how successful they are since its acquisition by Lenovo.

2. ZTE Axon 7

Many are unfamiliar with the ZTE brand. But their new Axon 7 is quite amazing. It has all the specs of a latest flagship, including Snapdragon 820 and a 4GB RAM. It is also equipped with a 3250mAH battery and Quick Charge 3.0. A 20MP and 8MP cameras provide decent image quality to get the job done. It’s no Galaxy S7, but it does feature a metal unibody design and gives a premium feel. You can pre-order one right now for only $399.99!

1. OnePlus 3

One Plus 3 Android

You know this was coming. OnePlus is the best buy for buck out there right now. For a small price tag of $399, you can more than many of the other flagships in the market. The OnePlus 3 has a Snapdragon 820, coupled with 6GB of RAM. And its 16MP camera is surprising really good. Again, the camera is no Galaxy S7, but at the price of this device, the camera is kick-ass! Note though, that OnePlus is often notorious at providing software update for their phones – even slower than Samsung!

So there you have it. These devices are the best you can get without digging a hole in your wallet. Now it is up to you to decide which one is the best fit for you! Any opinions? Let us know in the comments!
