Galaxy Note 7 will use your eyes to unlock
There have been several rumors about Samsung releasing a new Galaxy Note later this year. The last release from the Note series was the Galaxy Note 5 right after the release of the S6 series. However, rumors are pointing towards Samsung skipping Note 6 and going to 7 to match the S7 series. However, this is not the big news that comes attached to the Note 7’s release.
The Note 7, based on Mobile reporter-expert Evan Blass’ report will have a iris reading biometric system. This will be a huge update to the finger print system we have been accustomed to. It will be a lot more secure as no two individuals have the same iris and your eyes are not constantly touching things for you to leave behind prints like fingerprinting.
Couple confirmed specs: 5.7″ QHD SAMOLED, 64GB + microSD, 12MP DualP / 5MP, IP68, black/silver/blue

This is exciting stuff however Samsung will have to make the iris scanner bug free, as this could leak something very personal to users if hacked or frustrate users if it locks them out of their phone. Only time will tell if the world is ready for an iris scanner yet. But we can at least look forward to the mobile industry moving away from the fingerprint technology and innovating a new secure way to lock your phone/data.
Other specs leaked were a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB of RAM and a larger 4,000 mAh battery compared to the S7’s 3,000 mAh and S7 Edge’s 3,600 mAh batteries.
