Google introduces Android Nougat

It’s official Android enthusiasts, Google has officially named Android N, Nougat. Yep, a weird name in my opinion, but that is what the public wanted after 6 weeks of voting done through Google.

I mean sure, it is an interesting name, I would never have thought of it. But Google did surprise a lot of users.
Here is how Twitter reacted:

@Android @YasmineEvjen *Googling “What is nougat?”*

But there were users who wanted this name from day 1:

i don’t even know what battleborn was, i legitimately feel bad for them to name Android N can’t they go for Nougat or Nutella

I am super excited to see Android N in action later this year and see how users respond to it, the name is just a formality. The real goodness is in the software *I apologize for my inner nerd.

Also, Google did follow tradition and have a statue of Nougat installed in Mountain View.
