Why church leaders must blog on their church websites

Last week, I wrote a guest post on churchcommunicationspro.com called “The only two things your church website needs.”  This week, I posted a follow up article called “Why church leaders must blog on their church websites,” where I drill down into more detail about blogging, what it really is, and why I believe it is one of the only types of content you really need on your church website.

Thanks again to Cory Miller for giving me an audience on his site.  Writing these articles has really made me think about some things I hadn’t thought about in a while.

    Hi Tim,

    Just wanted to affirm from one believer to another who also has done interim church work for 30 years …. how excited I was to see that you do worship on the Kohler site. I have done just what you do as recently as about 6 years ago and decided that the Lord truly wanted me to slow down .. devote more time to my wife and my 4 grown kids.

    I have been in the insurance business for 29 years this year but have done music all of my life. My insurance clientele are many folks that you would know (Geoff Moore / Stephen Curtis Chapman / Toby Mac and many others). I have been able to minister to those guys and create a business at the same time. God has truly blessed.

    I’m a keyboard guy - 13 years of classical piano many years ago … and love worship music to this day. I have always been one to push the envelope in church music too and have enjoyed what we think has been God blessed results through the years.

    Now, I am slowing down a little … still playing my 7ft Yamaha at home … and love our worship time at Fellowship Bible Church in Nashville on Sundays …

    Trading has been a hobby and I am involved with Investools training .. trying to update my skills and broach the options world and having a blast doing it. What we are getting from Jeff and others is phenomenal I think and have really enjoyed the ‘banter on the site’ and the opportunity to learn from some pretty sharp folks there.

    My purpose for this communication (looked for your email and couldn’t find it)… is once again to AFFIRM your ministry and let you know there is another brother on the Kohler site plugging along in the trading world as you are ….

    Wish you all the best … excited to see your contributions to the Kohler site .. Jeff needed that awesome logo and other help you have been giving him. Oddly enough, I have a web company - http://www.XChangeInsurance.com … I have for the past 11 years developed websites for insurance agencies around the country. I have about 75 accounts that I work with at this time and enjoy the web design world. I now hire guys to do what I used to do … I just market and troubleshoot the company … It’s a great opportunity as well…

    Love to make beats then you should take a look at sonicpro. It works so well, i love all the beats i make.
